Polyester Anti-Fog Films. These types of anti-fog films are commonly used in industrial applications. It features excellent chemical properties and physical strength. Polycarbonate Anti-Fog Film. Polycarbonate anti-fog film is an extruded polymer. It has high strength, tear and wear resistance, flexural strength, and excellent optical properties. It can provide up to 90% light transmission. Aside from that, polycarbonate anti-fog film has lightweight, high-temperature resistance, self-extinguishing, and electrical/thermal insulation.
The adhesion strength of a film should be according to standards like FTM1 or FTM2. Adhesion strength also depends on various time frames. FMT 1 and FMT 2 are based on testing temperature. FMT 1 has a testing temperature of up to 180°C and FMT 2 has 90°C.
*Note: FTM is the test standard for anti-fog film back adhesives.
The release detachment strength of an anti-fog film is based on the following:
- FMT 3. It is a test that is conducted for a low-speed detachment.
- FMT 4. It is a test that is conducted for high-speed detachment.
Aside from the tests mentioned above, a detachment strength can also be determined by the following:
- FMT 9 can determine the tack stickiness of the film through initial stickiness.
- Another way is the cohesion detachment strength determined by FTM 8. Cohesion detachment strength refers to guillotine resistance.

An anti-fog film can be cleaned with water and non-abrasive soap. Isopropyl alcohol can also be used for freezing conditions. Dry rubbing is not advisable as it may scratch the film.
