  • The glass dome and its top spherical handle are joined through a fusion bonding process. This involves heating the contact points of the pre-formed glass components to a molten state (using temperatures around 700–850°C in a high-temperature furnace) and fusing them seamlessly .
  • The process ensures a smooth transition between the dome and the handle while maintaining optical clarity.

  • Fragility During Transport:​ Addressed via customized packaging​ with multi-layer cushioning (e.g., bubble wrap ≥3 mm thickness, foam inserts, and reinforced cardboard boxes) to absorb shocks.
  • Bubbles at Bonding Interface:​ Mitigated by precise temperature control and pre-drying glass components​ to eliminate moisture, reducing gas entrapment during fusion.
• Final product description:
  • Custom Packaging:​ Each dome is individually wrapped in foam and secured in partitioned boxes labeled with “Fragile” stickers.
