Production Process of Weprofeb
What is the process of EPDM tube production?
Step 1: In the synthesis stage, the raw materials of carbon black, raw rubber, plasticizer, and vulcanizing agent are mixed in tanks where they react so that the polymer formed becomes an amorphous liquid that can be further processed for curing by extrusion or molding.
Step 2: In the extrusion stage, the desired rubber hose is obtained by mixing, filtering and extruding, the liquid rubber compound is passed through an extruder to extrude the inner tube, the reinforcing layer with the addition of aramid threads or polyester threads is added and the outer tube is extruded.
Step 3:The EPDM tube is vulcanized by passing it through a vulcanizing bath, where heat or radiation induces a chemical reaction between the raw rubber and the vulcanizing agent, or the combination of compounds between the raw rubber and the raw rubber, to improve the properties of the EPDM tube.
Step 4: Finally, the EPDM extruded tube is cut to the desired length and the cut EPDM tube is placed on the mold, usually in small cylindrical shapes such as O-rings or seals. For larger parts, such as tires or hoses, a molding technique is used to pour liquid rubber into a custom mold before it hardens.
