How to recycle the EPS pipe section?

First, you should remove impurities from the surface of the EPS pipe section. Then, crush it into 5-20 mm particles, and then heat the particles to 200-250°C through an extruder to regenerate particles for the production of low-density plastic products.

You can also use chemical solvents to dissolve the EPS pipe section, and then separate and purify polystyrene for the production of high-value products.

How to produce EPS pipe section?

Step 1: You should use polystyrene beads containing a foaming agent to form pre-foamed beads with a diameter of 2-6 mm by steam heating in a pre-foaming machine.

Step 2: You should perform aging treatment. This step only requires the pre-foamed beads to be placed in a ventilated environment for 4-24 hours, with the temperature controlled at 20-25°C, so that the foaming agent inside the beads is evenly distributed and the elasticity is restored.

Step 3: You should fill the aging beads into the split mold, perform secondary expansion through steam, and melt and bond the beads into shape.

Step 4: You should cool and demold the molded EPS pipe section, and correct the burrs.

How to package and store the EPS pipe section?

Packaging: You can wrap the EPS pipe section with plastic film and seal the seams with tape to prevent water absorption. When transporting in the cold chain, you can combine refrigerants to enhance the insulation performance. You can also fill the packaging box with cardboard to avoid collisions during transportation. You should fix large pipe shells with wooden frames to prevent corner damage. The outer packaging should be marked with warning signs such as “fragile”, “moisture-proof”, “keep away from fire”, and indicate the product specifications.

Storage: You should store EPS pipe sections in a place with a temperature of ≤35°C and a relative humidity of ≤70%, and keep the air circulating. At the same time, you can stack EPS pipe sections horizontally, with each layer not exceeding 1.5 meters in height, and use wooden pallets at the bottom to prevent moisture. In addition, you should keep the EPS pipe section away from open flames, heat sources, and strong oxidants, and equip the storage area with fire-fighting facilities to prevent fire.
