The Properties of FEP Film

The FEP film can withstand temperatures from -400°F to 400°F for extreme environments. It can have consistent performance even for short-term resistance to higher temperatures.

FEP film is Insoluble in common organic solvents,and is resistant to acids and bases with excellent chemical stability.Safe and reliable choice for you.

It is suitable for high-frequency and high-voltage electrical applications because of high insulation resistance and low dielectric loss of FEP film.

The FEP film is not easy to adhere to foreign objects and easy to clean.So it is suitable for sliding parts with low coefficient of friction and good wear resistance,reducing energy loss.

With transparency of more than 95%, the FEP film usually is nearly colorless and transparent. And its haze is less than 1% with high clarity.

Four Main Types of FEP Film

FEP premium grade film,manufactured from selected raw materials and has the most balanced performance.

FEP welding grade film,excellent fusion adhesive performance and thermal stability. The FEP WG film is suitable for application in heat sealing, welding and other fusion adhesives that do not require high aesthetics, it can maintain stable melt fluidity during the welding process to ensure the firmness of the welded joints.

FEP molding release grade film,provides excellent surface release properties, superior nonstick performance and high temperature resistance up to 400°F while maintaining good dimensional stability.

FEP high molecular weight grade film,higher mechanical strength and temperature resistance.And FEP HG film is particularly suitable for industrial applications in components such as pump diaphragms and safety relief vanes.
The Production Process of FEP Film
The production of FEP film mainly uses the extrusion process, you can learn about the specific production process.
Step 1: Prepare dry and clean FEP resin pellets,and put the raw materials into the extruder hopper.
Step 2: The screw pushes the raw material into the heating zone, where it is completely melted into a viscous melt at a temperature above the melting point.
Step 3: The molten FEP material is then pressed into the molding die,and extruded through the mold opening.The extruded FEP is cooled by water or air cooling to allow for rapid curing and shaping to FEP film.
Step 4: The molded FEP film is cut to the required size by automatic cutting equipment ,and then complete the packaging process.
Wipe the surface with mild soapy water and avoid abrasive cleaners. Then wipe dry with a dust-free cloth to keep the surface clean.
Remove the printing platform first, loosen the screws holding the frame, remove the old FEP film and clean the frame. Lay the new FEP film flat on the frame, tighten it evenly and re-fix the screws. Note that gloves are required because there may be residual resin.
Usually,the MOQ is 1 roll for standard FEP film, and it is about 20 kg. But if you want to customize,the MOQ depends on your specific requirements. You can contact us for details.
