PAI (polyamide-imide) exhibits excellent heatl resistance, high strength and stiffness. However, PEI has better impact resistance and toughness compared to PAI and also has a higher continuous use temperature (around 260°C) compared to PEI (around 180-200°C).
Compared with polyimide, polyamide is typically more expensive given that it may involve more complicated chemistry and processing techniques, which can contribute to higher manufacturing costs.
