PES Sheet

Lightweight, durable, heat-, chemical- and hydrolysis-resistant, our PES sheets are used in a wide range of industries, including medical, aerospace, automotive and electronics.

Our PES sheets have excellent tensile and flexural strength and are easy to process and cut. With many years of experience in manufacturing PES flakes, WeProFab’s PES flakes meet NSF, FDA, USDA, UL 94-V0, 3A Dairy and USP Class VI approvals. Our PES sheets have excellent tensile and flexural strength and are easy to process and cut. And we can provide powder coating, anodising, polishing, plating and other surface treatments.

In addition, the ability to customise different sizes, colours and thicknesses makes our PES sheets very popular. Please feel free to send us your enquiry and we will be happy to customise your ideal PES sheet for you.

Key Features of Our PES Sheet

WeProFab PES sheets are high-performance materials with a wide temperature range and excellent heat resistance (up to 200°C). They offer inherent flame retardancy, low smoke emissions, and stiffness and toughness at varying temperatures. They are chemically resistant to acids, alkalis and solvents and are also hydrolysis resistant, making them ideal for steam sterilization.

Our sheets are dimensionally stable, radiation stable and have low ionic impurities, ensuring reliability in demanding environments. Their lightweight design, combined with high tear strength, thermoformability and optical clarity, makes them suitable for a variety of industrial and medical applications.

Where to Use PES Sheet?

Where to Use PES Sheet?

WeProFab PES sheets are used in a wide range of industries. Due to their durability and clarity, they are ideal for DIP switches, bearing cages and sight glasses. In the medical field, they are used for sterilisable devices and components. Due to their toughness and precision, these sheets are also widely used in machine shops, prototyping and structural components.

In the electrical, aerospace, automotive and public transport industries, they are used as insulation sleeves, valves and heat exchangers. Other applications include pumps, microwave components, filtration systems and electronic circuit boards, demonstrating their reliability in harsh environments.

What's the difference between PES and PET material?

PES has excellent heat resistance (up to 200°C), chemical resistance, and inherent flame retardancy, making it ideal for medical, aerospace, and electrical applications.

PET is more affordable and offers good clarity, durability, and is suitable for packaging and consumer products, although it has lower heat and chemical resistance than PES.

Is PES Breathable?

No, PES (polyethersulfone) is not inherently breathable. It is a dense, non-porous material designed for applications requiring chemical resistance, durability, and thermal stability. However, PES membranes (a specific form of PES) are breathable because they are designed to be porous, allowing gases or liquids to pass through while filtering out particles. These membranes are commonly used in filtration, medical and water purification systems.
