Excellent Properties of Weprofab PPE Pipe
Weprofab PPE pipe has excellent performance in many aspects.
Mechanical properties: Our PPE has strong tensile and bending resistance, with a tensile strength of 60~93 MPa and a bending strength of 75 MPa.
Thermal properties: Our PPE tube can withstand low temperatures of -40℃ and high temperatures of +200℃. Its water absorption rate is less than 0.1% and it will not soften in humid air.
Electrical properties: Our PPE has low dielectric loss and good insulation, and its resistivity is as high as 10^17 Ω·cm.
Other properties: In addition, Weprofab PPE tubes are also corrosion-resistant, UV-resistant, low-density, and easy to process.

We have a variety of test workshops, including high temperature test workshops, Anti-deformation test workshops, corrosion resistance test workshops, etc. In addition, our PPE pipes have been sold to more than 100 countries and have passed ISO 9001, IATF 16949, UL 94, ASTM D6194, ISO 527, IEC 60243, and other industry certifications to ensure the reliable performance of PPE pipes.
PPE Pipe for Various Applications

PPE pipe can be used as an engine intake pipe, a fuel system pipe, an engine and battery coolant pipe, and a high-temperature cable sheath because of its advantages, such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and low water absorption.

PPE pipe is often used as a cable protective cover, as well as an insulation protective cover of relays and 5G base stations, because of its good insulation, high temperature resistance, hydrolysis resistance, and flame retardancy.

PPE pipe is resistant to hydrolysis and strong acid, strong alkali, and organic solvent corrosion, and can be used as a corrosive fluid delivery pipe and a high-temperature exhaust gas discharge pipe.

PPE ipe is often used as a photovoltaic panel coolant circulation pipe and an energy storage battery thermal management pipe because of its low density, high strength, and UV resistance.
PPE pipe is more resistant to high temperatures, has higher strength and corrosion resistance, while PE has better flexibility and lower density. PPE pipe is more suitable for use in high temperature environments and as an insulating protective cover, while PE is more suitable for use in low temperature environments and agricultural irrigation. The processing cost and difficulty of PPE are higher, while the processing cost and difficulty of PE are lower.
The price of ordinary PPE pipe for general industrial use is between $10 and $20 per meter, the price of PPE pipe with flame retardant material is about $25 to $50 per meter, and the price of corrosion-resistant PPE pipe used in chemical plants is between $80 and $150 per meter. The price of PPE pipe for automobiles is between $30 and $60 per meter.

How to Produce PPE Pipe?
The production of PPE pipe requires the following steps.
Step 1: You should dry the PPE resin. In this step, you should dry the PPE resin at 120~150℃ for 2-4 hours to reduce its moisture content to less than 0.02%. This can prevent hydrolysis during processing. Then, use a mixer to mix glass fiber, flame retardant or antioxidant.
Step 2: You should melt the raw materials at 280~320℃ and then use a twin-screw extruder to extrude the melt.
Step 3: You should use a suitable mold to mold the melt. And use a segmented water cooling system to cool the molded pipe to a water temperature of 20~40℃.
Step 4: You should use a servo fly cutter to cut the pipe, and then anneal the thick-walled pipe at 80~100℃ for 2 hours.
Step 5: You should conduct heat deformation test, corrosion test, insulation test and surface smoothness test on the PPE pipe.
Step 6: You can use a laser to engrave the temperature resistance grade, production batch number and certification mark on the surface of the pipe, and package the PPE pipe with aluminum foil under vacuum.
