How to Produce PVC Pipes?
The following steps are required to produce PVC pipes.
Step 1: You should choose PVC resin, add additives such as stabilizers, lubricants and fillers, pour it into a high-speed mixer, heat it to 110-120℃, and mix it thoroughly for 5-8 minutes. Then cool it down to 40-50℃ to prevent the material from agglomerating.
Step 2: You should heat it with a twin-screw extruder until it is molten, and then extrude it through a ring die. The gap adjustment accuracy between the die and the core die should reach ±0.1mm.
Step 3: You should use a spray vacuum box to size the PVC pipe, and then use a segmented water cooling method. The water temperature of the first section needs to be controlled at 25-30℃, and the subsequent cooling needs to be staged. The length of the immersion water tank needs to be more than 6m, so as to ensure that the center temperature of the pipe drops below 60℃.
Step 4: You should haul and cut the PVC pipe. In this step, you need to use a crawler hauling machine to keep the hauling speed synchronized with the extrusion speed at about 0.5-6m/min. Then haul and cut to length to ensure that the length of each section of the pipe is consistent.
Step 5: You can use ink to print on the surface of the formed pipe to mark the implementation standard, pressure level, and other symbols.
You can use epoxy resin to repair cracks or holes with a diameter of less than 5 mm. Or use silicone tape to directly wrap the leaking area and pressurize it to fix it. If the incision is large, you can use a hacksaw to cut off the damaged part, grind the edge of the incision until it is smooth, use a flange to connect the new pipe section, and apply PVC glue to glue it.
You can use warm water mixed with a mild detergent, pour it on a rag and scrub the surface to clean light stains and dust. To clean heavy stains, you need to use a rag dipped in an alkaline solution or an organic solvent such as acetone, and wear gloves to wipe it. If the pipe is scaled inside, you can dissolve citric acid powder in warm water, soak the pipe for 10 minutes, and then rinse it repeatedly with clean water to remove the internal dirt.
You can use glue to connect, or put a socket pipe fitting with a rubber ring into the pipe and squeeze the sealing ring to prevent leakage. Or use a coupler with a rubber gasket and tighten the bolts to compress the seal.
You can use a crusher to break the old PVC pipe into 2-3mm particles, remove impurities such as metal and rubber, then clean it, dry it, and remelt it. You can also dissolve and regenerate it by pyrolysis or hydrolysis.
